Anti Bullying Policy AB 001 Principles and values As a school we take bullying and its impact seriously. People and parents should assured that known incidents of bullying will be immediately informed to the senior people. The school will seek ways to counter the effects of bullying that may occur within school. AB 002 School community beliefs about bullying It is important that students, staff and parents have shared understanding of what bullying is, how it impacts on people! Bullying is repeated oppression, psychological or physical of a less powerful person by more powerful person or group of persons. AB 003 Definition Bullying is defined as "unwanted negative behavior, verbal, psychological or physical conducted by an individual or group against another person (or persons) and which is repeated over time".   www.queenmira.com Page : 4

Anti Bullying Policy AB 004 Bullying behavior Physical – pushing, poking, kicking, hitting, biting, pinching etc. Verbal - name calling, sarcasm, spreading rumors, threats, teasing, belittling. Emotional – isolating others, tormenting, hiding books, threatening gestures, ridicule, humiliation, intimidating, excluding, manipulation and coercion. Sexual – unwanted physical contact, inappropriate touching, abusive comments, homophobic abuse, exposure to inappropriate films etc. Online /cyber – posting on social media, sharing photos, sending nasty text messages, social exclusion Indirect - Can include the exploitation of individuals. www.queenmira.com Page : 5

It will affect the person to behave in an unusual way such as self harm, depression and imbalance in their work. Anti Bullying Policy AB 009 Procedures Report bullying incidents to committee member. In case of serious bullying, the incidents will be recorded by the committee member. In necessary parents should be informed and will be asked to come in to a meeting to discuss the issue.
