Holzstrasse 11 / 11a, 9010 St. Gallen Tellstrasse 2 to Holzstrasse 11 Taking bus no. 9 Exit the building and walk onto the main road (Rosenbergstrasse), turn left and continue walking until you reach a big crossroads. At the bus stop “Blumenberg” you can take bus no. 9 (direction “Schuppis Nord”) to “Rotmonten”. From there it’s a one minute walk to Holzstrasse 11/11a. Taking bus no. 5 You can also take bus no. 5 in (direction Rotmonten) which leaves from “Blumenberg”. It takes about 8 min. until the stop “Rotmonten”. From there it is a one minute walk to Holzstrasse 11/11a. Bus no. 5/9 Ticket office Main Station underpass Tellstrasse 2 To the train station Just turn right on Risenbergstrasse until you reach the underpass. City Buses in St. Gallen (yellow post buses not included) Getting to the city centre / to the train station and back The quickest way to get to the city centre (Marktplatz) is by bus. From the bus stop “Rotmonten” bus no. 5 (direction Riethüsli) leaves every 10 min. (from Monday – Saturday). It takes about eight minutes to the stop “Blumenberg”. From there it is a 100 m walk to the Marktplatz. You can also take bus no. 9 (direction “Hölzli”) to “Blumenberg” which takes only about four minutes. Both buses also take you to the train station. See the map on the front side for more details and the location of the two bus stops. Getting to the University and back The University is a 500 m/six minute walk away. You can also take bus no. 9 (direction Hölzli) to “Uni/Gatterstrasse” which takes about two min. Be aware that during certain times in the morning and the afternoon the bus is extremely full and there might not be enough space to go on board. Also this bus stops running after 12 pm. In theory you could also take bus no. 5 to “Uni/Dufourstrasse”, but this but this bus stop is 300 m away from the University, so it would take you quite longer.
