Confucianism was a guide for how civil service members should behave. Loyalty and respect (especially toward family) is central to his teaching.

10. What was the purpose of the One-Child Policy? To slow the population growth since the country was struggling to care and feed everyone in the country and it was growing too fast.

10. What was the purpose of the Great Leap Forward? The Great Leap Forward was designed to increase production in farms and factories. The people were scared to not meet the amount of food they were told to produce so they lied. They ended up not producing food to survive. It resulted by creating massive starvation and depleted their resources.
