What next? Consultations have closed We are analysing the responses received We will publish a summary of responses to each consultation We will consult on final proposals and regulatory framework for introducing these proposals in early 2020 Indicative timescale for Defra reforms to take effect is 2023 Plastic tax to be announced in Autumn budget and proposal is to introduce from April 2022
