Value Statement - Safety The public and private sector will work together to ensure that children in Georgia are, first and foremost, protected from abuse and neglect.

Goal 1 - Safety All children will remain safe from maltreatment while in contractor's care. 35 % of total score – 35 points

Outcome Measure 1 Contractor will ensure that all direct care staff will be certified in an Emergency Safety Intervention protocol prior to participating in a safety intervention with children in their care.

Outcome Measure 2 Contractor will ensure that all approved foster parents will view DFCS-designated protective capacities training, satisfactorily pass the test associated with training and complete a vulnerabilities assessment annually and/or prior to accepting first placement.

Calculation - Number of foster parents completing specified training/Number required to attend or participate in the training. *Note training encompasses passing test and completing vulnerabilities assessment
