Georgia DFCS Performance-Based Contracting Partnership through Accountability Goal 1 - Safety

Value Statement - Safety The public and private sector will work together to ensure that children in Georgia are, first and foremost, protected from abuse and neglect.

Goal 1 - Safety All children will remain safe from maltreatment while in contractor's care. 35 % of total score – 35 points

Outcome Measure 1 Contractor will ensure that all direct care staff will be certified in an Emergency Safety Intervention protocol prior to participating in a safety intervention with children in their care.

Definition and Calculation Definition - Completed training on Emergency Safety Intervention by an approved vendor within prescribed timeframes Calculation - Number of direct care staff certified/total number of direct care staff

Scoring 20% of Goal 7 possible points Percentage Score 95%> 7 90%-94% 6 85%-89% 5 80%-84% 4 75%-79% 3 70%-74% 2 65%-69% 1 65%<

Outcome Measure 2 Contractor will ensure that all approved foster parents will view DFCS-designated protective capacities training, satisfactorily pass the test associated with training and complete a vulnerabilities assessment annually and/or prior to accepting first placement.

Definition and Calculation Definition - Completion of training for all approved foster parents annually and/or prior to accepting first placement. Calculation - Number of foster parents completing specified training/Number required to attend or participate in the training. *Note training encompasses passing test and completing vulnerabilities assessment

Outcome Measure 3 Substantiated maltreatment incidents are less than (.32%) of children in Contractor's care

Outcome Measure 4 Contractor will ensure that an Incident Intake Information Form will be submitted to OPUOM within 24 hours of each incident.
