26.06.17 Kolar The vehicle was received by Dr Rajshekar at Sri Devraj Urs Medical College, visited the district hospital, streets of Kolar.

27.06.18 Chikkaballapura The Ratha was flagged off from DC office by DC Mr Ravishankar and DHO Dr. Narasimha Murthy. The activity received wide publicity as vehicle was parked at the gathering on occassion of Kempegowda Jayanthi, for which more than 10000 people had gathered. The activities were coordinated by Dr Ranjitha and media was actively involved.

27.06.16 Tumkur The vehicle was received by Dr Shivanand HOD, dermatology, Sree Devi Medical College and staff. The programme was inaugurated by Hospital chairman Ex MLC, Dr Hulinayakar , Dr Shivanand Murthy, Dr Shivanand, Dr Bharath Raj and other members of Tumkur Dermatology Society. Senior dermatologist Dr Bharath Raj addressed the public.

28.06.2017 Hassan The vehicle was flagged off by Dr RaviKumar, director of Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences. The progamme was attented by Dr Venkatesh DHO, Dr Krishnamurthy Principal of first grade college, Dr Shankar, Dr Krishnamurthy RMO, Dr Prasanna Kumar, Dr Vivek Ittigi, HOD’s of all departments and students. The vehicle was parked in front of railway station, Maharaja Park, Main city circle and bus stop where pamphlets were distributed

29.06.2017 Chickmagalur Jaatha was flagged off at Mallegowda General Hospital Chikmagalur by Dr Manjunath, Dr Kannaiah, Dr Rajesh & Dr Swamy H N, it then passed through major streets, circles and visited all the schools.

29.06.17 Shivamogga Programme was inaugurated and the vehicle flagged off by Director of SIMS Dr Sushil Kumar,and Dr.Hanumantappa DHO Shimoga, Dr. T.B.Satyanarayan, Dr.Ragunandan,.Dr. Dadapeer, Dr.Shama, Dr.Manjunath M, Dr. Bandarkar, Dr.Manjunath U.N ,.Dr Anupama and Dr. Sushma participated.

30.6.17 Chitradurga The event was coordinated by Dr Yogendra , flag off by prof E.Chitrashekar executive Director of medical college, Dr. Palakshappa, medical superintendent and Dr. M Yogendra HOD OF dermatology . The vehicle was parked at bustop, railway station. Folk song written by Dr Yogendra was sung by local artists about vitiligo treatment as a part of public awareness at all the major places of Chitradurga with vitiligo Ratha.

1.07.17 Davangere Vitiligo campaign program was held at SS Hospital Davangere. Vitiligo awareness skit was performed by the postgraduates. A Vitiligo patient spoke on his views and experiences. Dr B S Prasad, Principal, SSIMS gave a speech. Vehicle was flagged off by principal and other staff. The activities were coordinated by Dr Manjunath Hulmani. Then it visited the district hospital and Bapuji Medical College.

2.07.17 Haveri In the presence of Dr.Sanjay Dange Vitiligo awareness march was inaugurated by Hukkerimath Shri Sadashiva Mahaswami. Dr. Mahesh Baddi DHO, Dr. Sanjay Dange, Ashok Bevinmarad, Satish Maladakar, Malatesh Bevinahindi, drug company representatives, nursing students participated in this campaign and the march started from Haveri district hospital and ended at Railway station via main streets , bus station, M G Road.

3.07.17 Gadag Coordinated by Dr Tukaram Suri . Vitiligo jatha was flagged off by DC Manoj Jain infront GADAG DC office. Media was actively involved.

3.07.17 Koppala Vitiligo jatha flag off by Koppal DC Srimathi Kanagavalli, and Director of KIMS Koppal Dr. Shankar Malpure, Dr Vishalakshi Pandit, Dr Basavaraj Pachalapur consultant Dermatologist, Dr. Vyjanath Itagi IMA Koppal President, Dr Vijayakumara Adavi attended.

04.07.2017 Bellary The Jaatha was flagged off by the director of VIMS Dr Prabhanjan Kumar. Dr Suma addressed the public. Students performed skit for public on vitiligo awareness. Jaatha was stationed at prime public places and pamphlets distributed. The activities were coordinated by Dr Chidambara Murthy.

05.07.17 - Raichur The Jaatha was flagged off by medical college principal Dr.Vijayachandra, medical director Dr. S R Hedge, medical supèrintendant Dr. Rajshekar, Dr Shankar Gowda and other teaching staff , pg students and house surgeons were present. It was done in front of Navodaya medical college hospital entrance at 9:30 am.

6.07.17 Yadagiri Dr Shwetha Jaka, the only Dermatologist in town coordinated the activities. The program started from district hospital. District surgeon flagged off the program.

08.07.17 Kalaburgi The vitiligo Jatha was flagged by Hon'ble minister Dr Sharan Prakash Patil. It went around the Gulbarga Insitute of Medical Sciences campus. All the members of association were present. Dr Ashok Hogade coordinated the activities.

09.07.17 Vijayapura The vehicle was received at Shri B M Patil Medical College, BLDE University, and formally flagged off by respected Principal Dr. Guggarigoudar in the presence of Medical Superintendent Dr. Vijaykumar and deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Warad and faculty and postgraduates of the Dermatology department.

10.07.17 Bagalkot Vitiligo Jatha flagged off by Dr Ashok Mallapur, Principal, S N Medical College, Bagalkot, at 9:45 AM. The post graduate students performed a sreet play on vitiligo awareness. The activities were coordinated by Dr Sampangavi

11.07.17 Belagavi The Jaatha was flagged off at IMA hall Belagavi, the postgraduates performed a skit on vitiligo awareness. The vehicle then moved around the public places distributing pamplets . All activities coordinated by Dr Shivkumar Patil.

12.07.17 Dharwad DHO, Dr V R Desai senior Dermatologist and Dr Bellad flagged off the Jaatha. ANM and paramedical staff organized a street play and sang songs.

12.07.17 Hubballi At KIMS Hubli - Dharwad commissioner did the flag off. KIMS director Dr Bhant, principal Dr Kammar attended the flag off.

13.07.17 Karwar Dr Shruthi Harish, the only dermatologist in Karwar, coordinated all the activities. The programme was done along with the nursing college staff students and DHO. The nursing students went on a procession along with the vehicle holding vitiligo awareness message placards. Human chain was made in the town. Railway employees were given awareness talk.

14.07.17 Sirsi Kundapur Dr Prakash Puranik CMO govt hospital Sirsi and Dr Kailash Pai President IMA SIRSI flagged off jatha by releasing pamphlets. IMA, ROTARY CLUB, LIONS CLUB OF SIRSI members participated in the programme. Dr Shivaswamy spoke about the purpose of jatha. Mr Ravi Hegde who is having vitiligo himself shared his personal experiences. All the dermatologists of Sirsi Dr Asha Anand, Dr Krishnamurthy and Dr Suphala were actively involved. Later jatha went govt college, bus stand etc and moved on to Kundapur.

15.07.17 Udupi Inspite of heavy rains, the spirit of vitiligo awareness campaign was not dampened. The vehicle was flagged off by Dr Satish Pai, HOD KMC Manipal in front of the OPD block. COO Col Dayanad was the chief guest. The Manipal team accompanied the vehicle to various spots and distributed pamphlets educating patients. Dr Subash Kini, Dr Sripathi Aithal, Dr Sanath Rao participated.

Day 21 Udupi

16.07.17 Mangalore It was a sunny morning amidst heavy rain indicating rain God's blessings for the program. All the Karavali members gathered in front of Wenlock hospital at 9 AM. Dr Girish welcomed the gathering. Dr Ramesh Bhat spoke about the jatha. Dr Jerome Pinto gave a narration about Vitiligo. The jatha was flagged off by IMA President Dr Raghavendra Bhat & RMO Dr Julien. Later the jatha arrived at Father Muller Medical College. Dr Sukumar welcomed the gathering. Dr Nandakishore talked about Vitiligo. Director Rev Fr Richard Coelho flagged off the Jatha.  Later the jatha went around Mangalore with stops at KSRTC, City centre, & Forum Mall. Kannada documentary on Vitiligo was screened continuously from 10 am to 7 pm at City Centre & Forum mall.  Dr Michelle Secretary KDS compiled & actively supervised the program. Guests were given Mahashwetha novel written by Sudha Murthy.

Day 22 Mangalore

17.07.17 Madikeri Vitiligo vaahini took off from Teaching hospital, Kodagu institute of medical sciences , Madikeri. Flagged off by principal Dr Cariappa. Attended by Medical superintendent, RMO, CAO, Medicine and Surgery HODs. Dr Harshavardhana (Koims Dermatologist), Dr Ganesh Bhat (Practicing Dermatologist, Madikeri) and few other dignitaries were present. Covered well by local press and media persons

18.07.17 Mysore The Vitiligo Ratha was parked at prominent tourist destinations of Mysore like Mysore palace, Zoo. Dr Nanjundaswamy HOD of MMCRI and his department staff welcomed the ratha. It was officially flagged off by MMCRI dean Dr Krishnamurthy. Then the vehicle moved onto city railway stationand JSS hospital. Dr Jayadev Betkerur addressed the public on vitiligo. A skit was played on vitiligo awareness, difficulties faced by vitiligo patients.

Day 24 Mysore

19.07.17 Kollegal, Chamarajanagar At the government hospital, Kollegal, TMO Dr Raveendra inaugurated the Kollegal journey of the Vaahini. Dr Sharath, president and Dr Shivakishore, Secretary, IMA, Kollegal, graced the occasion. Later, the Vahini visited the following places to spread the awareness about vitiligo -Spoorthi skin and hair care clinic, Bus stand, Kollegal,  and Shanthi nursing home. Dr Manjunatha R coordinated the activities 19th July Chamarajanagar Dr Girish, department of Community Dermatology coordinated the programme due to absence of dermatologist.

20.7.17 Mandya The Ratha was stationed at morning Joggers park at 7:00am. It was flagged off from Mandya Medical College by Dr Harish MR, HOD dermatology. Then the vehicle went around the city with students following in a rally on bikes holding vitiligo awareness messages.

20.7.17-23.7.17 Bengaluru The vehicle reached Bengaluru on 20th July afternoon for the final journey. It was flagged off by Dr Sharan Prakash Patil, minister for medical education. For the next two days the vehicle visited all prominent places and medical colleges in and around Bangalore.
