Time with Young Christians

THE SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S SUPPER All who trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are invited to participate in the Sacrament of the Lord’s Table. With parental permission, baptized children are welcome to partake in the Sacrament as well.

*INVITATION TO THE LORD’S TABLE L: The Lord be with you. P: And also with you. L: Lift up your hearts. P: We lift them up to the Lord.

L: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. P: It is right to give our thanks and praise.

*THE GREAT PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING (By Gail Ramshaw) Please repeat “Blessed are you, Lord our God!” and “Amen” after you hear those words in the prayer.

L: The Lord Jesus, on the night before he died, took bread, and after he gave thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”

SHARING OF THE BREAD AND CUP Distribution of the Bread (bread is gluten free) (to symbolize our common experience of God’s grace, please retain the bread until all have been served). L: Jesus Christ is the bread of Heaven. Amen.

PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION (unison) Mighty God, holy is your name. We thank you for gathering us at your table and feeding us with the bread of life. As we leave this table to go to the many places where you call us,

send your Spirit to accompany us, so we may share in your magnificent work: lifting up those who are laid low, showing mercy to all in need of human kindness, and feeding the bodies and hearts of all those who are hungry. Amen.
