Reviewing the effectiveness of our Groups Chairs Day 19th June 2019

So why move Groups to A&P? Aligns with Professional Services and A&P mission & objectives Mission: Professional Services: To advance the profession by setting standards, creating membership frameworks, opening development pathways and providing thought leadership A&P: Will be the central source of thought leadership that feeds all of IOSH’s OSH information needs Media content: including magazine/PPHS/guides/ white papers etc IOSH Product & IOSH for Business Supporting internal stakeholders & external partners Research: including horizon scanning Content: including practical application Groups Topic Advisors & academic contacts Thought Leadership (Member benefit)

Where are we now? Do Groups have too much or too little autonomy? Many questions to discuss today including: Do Groups have too much or too little autonomy? Should Groups be more aligned with IOSH strategic aims? Do we have the right Groups in place or are any missing? Is there an optimum size for a Group? How should Groups contribute to the provision of member benefits? How do we ensure that Group volunteer committees represent our membership’s diversity? Can support to Groups be improved? Work 2022: Collaborate to drive enhancement and influence (A&P & Groups partnership)
