VISA APPLICATION TO CHINA UNL Faculty-Led Program to China  Summer 2019

WHAT DO I NEED? VALID PASSPORT *Passport must not expire prior to December 2019* (more than six months beyond the date you plan to return to the U.S.) MUST have at least two blank pages within passport (two of the pages must be facing one another) Signed! Good condition ONE OFFICIAL PASSPORT PHOTO (in color on an all white background) UNL Passport Services, Walgreens, CVS AIRFARE ITINERARY (please print a copy) DRIVER’S LICENSE (We will print a copy) VISA APPLICATION Education Abroad will complete based on answers provided in MyWorld questionnaire Students will review, sign and date

Passport-Sized Photo Due Tuesday, March 12th Please have your photo taken at a local CVS, Walgreen’s, etc. that typically takes pictures for passports. 33mm x 48 mm on high quality photo paper (plain white background) Must have been taken in the last six months! This picture must be taken at eye level, so try to to lean forward or back ward This picture must be taken in front of plain white wall. Sit/stand up straight, both body and face should be facing the camera  Please dress appropriately, this picture is for a legal documents. Dark colored clothing preferred, this way it will create a sharp contrast with the plain white background.  If you are wearing a dress shirt, make sure the collars are aligned and not lopping to one side. If the shirt is white or light in color, please put on a dark colored suite or jacket.  Please leave plenty of space round the head and shoulders so that our visa agent has room to make the necessary size adjustments.  Try your best to show both ears and eyebrows, do your Make sure to obtain both the print version and jpeg version. TIMELINE Passport-sized photo due to Education Abroad on March 12th. Deadline to upload scanned copy of valid passport due immediately! Deadline to submit Chinese Visa Questionnaire due immediately! Visa appointments with the Education Abroad on March 12th from 1-4 PM. Please email Allison to schedule an appointment time. Students that do not yet have their passports will be asked to setup an appointment on March 26th, after spring break. What do I need to bring for my visa appointment? You will need to bring your passport (please make sure it’s signed) and your driver’s license. When will I receive my visa and passport? The turnaround time is anywhere from 2-4 weeks.
