Who Can Get Cholera? People living/traveling to South America, Asia, and Africa

How do you get Cholera? Drinking unclean water Contact with feces of infected person Contaminated fish and produce.

What are the Symptoms? Ranges from mild stomach flu to severe. Severe symptoms include: Diarrhea Vomiting Shock Dehydration Death

What Should I Do If I Might Have Cholera? Drink lots of water to rehydrate IV fluids Sometime antibiotics may be used.

Additional Information Prevented by : Drinking water that has been boiled or treated properly. Eat only hot foods Avoid food from street vendors
