Presentation transcript:

Cardiac Morphology, Gene Expression and Histology (Core D) Description of Core Unit: Generate staged mouse and Xenopus embryo RNA samples. Generate paraffin and OCT embedded tissues and embryos. Share expertise in and perform some whole mount and section in situ hybridizations. Perform IHC and histology on tissue and embryo sections.

Core D Progress Report I Successful use of RT-PCR for Xenopus Mo2L (Carrie Dasconio). Performing in situ hybridizations (ISH; mouse and Xenopus; Projects 4 & 5, Ning Dai and Carrie Dasconio) including Mo2L and mouse Ehmt1 (Project 4).

Core D Progress Report II 301 slides stained (1008 total). 743 slides unprocessed (2186 total). 15 embedded tissue blocks (141 total). Ning Dai

Core D Prospective Interactions with other projects are welcome.
