Phone Stand Take away Homework Year 8 Phone Stand Take away Homework Basic These tasks are simple and straight forward. Choose your level of difficulty. Look at the star rating. 1 Create a list of at least 5 manmade boards and find out their properties. Create an A4 mood board of existing mobile phone stands to help your research. Make a poster of 5 tools used in the workshop. Label them and note what they are used for. Create a list of at least 5 natural woods and find out their properties. Plan which task you are going to complete and when you will do it. Ask questions you need answering. 2 You will be expected to complete 6 stars worth of homework for this project. Moderate These tasks are a little harder. 3 Make sure that you have all the resources you need to complete your homework on time. Design an advert to promote your mobile phone stand. Include a drawing of your it and highlight any key features. Find an existing phone stand and analyse it using ACCESS FM to help you. Create a poster identifying Health and Safety issues you need to follow in the workshop. Make a product you can use from recycled materials. This could be a toy, a mini desk tidy or something of your choice One winner from each class will be chosen as the Young Designer. They will have their work displayed and entered into the prize draw at the end of the year. 4 Complete your work and hand it to your teacher. Challenging These tasks are trickier but worth the most credit. Homework club: In the Goldfish Bowl after school, every day. Tuesday and Thursday after school in the AC with support, Wednesday and Friday lunchtime in the Goldfish Bowl. Create a card model of a phone stand. Make sure it is strong enough to hold a mobile phone. Create a video on how important it is to recycle materials rather than placing rubbish into landfill Make a leaflet about the 6R’s of sustainability. Create an orthographic image of your mobile phone stand. Label all dimensions.
