They changed the world The invention of dynamite, penicillin or the first plane completely changed the world. The people who invented them had a great influence on the shape of today’s world.

Isaac Newton 1643 – 1727 Isaac Newton was an English physicist, mathematician, inventor, etc. He is considered to be the most influential scientist in history. Isaac Newton formulated the theory of universal gravitation and the three laws of motion.

The Wright Brothers The Wright Brothers designed and constructed the first plane. The first flight took place in 1903.

Alexander Fleming 1881-1955 Alexander Fleming was a Scottish pharmacologist who discovered penicillin. Thanks to his discovery we are able to treat infections and kill bacteria now.

Alfred Nobel 1833 - 1896 Alfred Nobel was a Swedish chemist. He was the inventor of dynamite. After his death his fortune was used to institute the Nobel Prizes for great inventions.

Nicolaus Copernicus 1473 - 1543 Copernicus was a great astronomer. He formulated the theory of the solar system. Copernicus held that the Earth is another planet revolving around the sun.
