Figure 3 The likelihood of different microorganisms being present in all internal genital tract or segregated at endometrial level in 438 women affected by chronic endometritis. The likelihood is expressed as ratio between positive cases at both vaginal and endometrial sites and at endometrial level only. No cases of positivity at endometrial level for Staphylococcus was positive at vaginal culture and only 19.3% and 16.7% of positivity for Enterococcus faecalis and Chlamydia, respectively; most cases of Ureaplasma and yeast positivity at endometrial level were also positive at vaginal level.
