Presentation transcript:

Today is Monday 4/29/13 Personal One on One Conferences To Discuss Your Senior Paper are this week Come prepared! You must have a copy of your most recent version of your paper to conduct the conference. This is your opportunity to ask for help in areas where you think you might need it. This is not a “grade on the spot” activity. While others are meeting to speak to me about their papers, you are required to PEER EDIT one paper per session. You MUST have three papers edited with feedback by the end of this week. ODD classes will have (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) EVEN classes will have (Tuesday/Thursday)

Thursday (ODD) 4/25/13 and Friday (EVEN) 4/26/13 Rough Drafts Were Due You needed to have your paper printed in class at the start of class last week to receive full credit for the rough draft assignment. You were required to have the paper in MLA format, and a works cited page. You should have also had, as part of MLA formatting, in text citations after each of your quotes.

Today is Friday 4/26/13 Rough Drafts Due Today – Start of Class If you did not have your paper with you in class last week, it was YOUR responsibility to get it printed over the weekend. You also were required to post it on google as soon as you were able so YOU have a back up copy and a time/date stamped copy of when it was completed. You may submit your paper copy today/ Monday (4/26) BUT REMEMBER your rough draft must have been posted by midnight on Friday (4/26) to receive credit. You were not allowed to take the weekend to work on this assignment. That would have given you an unfair advantage to the other students whose papers were due last week in class. Rough drafts (for credit) will not be accepted after today for all classes!

“The Rocking Horse Winner” LAST WEEK: Pride and Prejudice & Frankenstein Answer 6 questions using INFERENCING strategy and graphic organizer Due end of class See handouts (2) THURSDAY/FRIDAY: Started “The Rocking Horse Winner” last week in class. Begins on page 1128 - 1129 You should have completed the quickwrite We had an in class “debate/discussion” You were required to finish reading story for homework. Due Monday/Tuesday: THEME written down for submission.
