summary In the book, Sadako And The Thousand Paper Cranes a 12 year old girl named Sadako gets sick from a bomb called the, Atom Bomb which gives her a sickness called, radiation sickness or as some people call it, Leukemia. This sickness involves dizzyness when she runs. This dizzyness sends her to the hospital. Chizuko her friend comes in with a paper crane and tells her the tale of the thousand paper cranes.
