Spiritual Improvements Regular attendance of services And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25

Spiritual Improvements Regular attendance of services I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the Lord.” Psalm 122:1

Spiritual Improvements Get involved in a work or works of the church Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” Isaiah 6:8

Spiritual Improvements Personal Evangelism 29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and overtake this chariot.” 30 So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” 31 And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him. Acts 8:29-31

Do People often change for god?

Why should one change for God? 17 So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.” 18 He said to Him, “Which ones?” Jesus said, “‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ 19 ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”

Why should one change for God? 20 The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?” 21 Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” 22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. Matthew 19:17-22

Why should one change for God? But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Hebrews 5:14

Why should one change for God? “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! Matthew 23:37

How does one change for God? 1. A person must desire to change. 2. Man sees he can do better. (Man is humble)

How does one change for God? 2. Man sees he can do better. (Man is humble) But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. 1 Peter 4:7

Lessons for us today

When is it necessary to change for God? 1. The real question is, when it is not a time to change for God? 2. If there is room for improvement in our lives, and there always is, then we should change because we love God and we want to be the best possible servant we can be for Him.

What happens if one will not change for God? 1. Hearts can grow cold, our love or care for the church can shrink or even disappear. 2. We upgrade appliances and devices, why not upgrade our spiritual lives by being better servants for God.

Conclusion 1. Are you willing to change for God? 2. Are you willing to upgrade your spiritual life? 3. If not, why not?
