Putting all the pieces together About UNG A regional State university with 5 campuses and 20,000 students Over 1000 veterans One of the six senior military schools – 0ver 800 cadets Veteran and adult success Program Military benefits are done through the financial aid office

VALP - Leader the point-of-contact concierge for adult and veteran students and provides advisement as requested, American Council on Education transcript reviews, portfolio counseling, career advisement, and mentoring. VALP also works with faculty and staff by providing them training opportunities concerning adult learners and veteran students.  

Green Zones On all campuses, UNG designates certain areas as "Green Zones" with university officials trained to help student veterans identify and connect with the appropriate resources

Green Zone training Green Zone training is a program to help advisors, faculty, staff and peers learn how to better serve the veteran/military population by learning what potential challenges a service member, student veteran and their families might face when attending college.
