NIGHT ON OUR PLANET

SPECTACULAR! Satellite photo of nightfall over Europe and North Africa on a cloudless day. The terminator (line btween night and day) is clearly visible along Western Europe and the western extremity of North Africa. Lights are already on in Paris and Barcelona but not in London, Lisbon or Madrid, where it is still daylight. You can see the Azores in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. A little below is Madeira and further below the Canary Islands and Cape Verde. You can observe the continental shelves from the British Isles to Canada and Iceland in the middle.
