The 17th ABU Copyright Committee July 19, 2011 Report on the WIPO SCCR 21 SCCR 21 was held from November 8 until 12, 2010. Only one day was spent for the discussions for the Audiovisual Performers’ Treaty and Broadcasters’ Treaty. There was no substantive discussions on the floor, but the Chair asked the regional coordinators to gather and discuss informally about the more concrete future plans to be included in the Conclusions. The 17th ABU Copyright Committee July 19, 2011 Report on the WIPO SCCR 21 The positive results were reported from each regional meetings, in India and Nigeria. The Secretariat tries to urge the Member States to move forward the discussion, including the proposal to create the Working Group on technical matters. The 17th ABU Copyright Committee July 19, 2011 Conclusions Holding the informal consultation meeting, in participation with the technical experts, to report its suggestions to the SCCR 22. The Secretariat will call for the Member States to submit new proposals to form the basis of the new draft Treaty by March 1, 2011. The Secretariat will prepare a list of issues, and the BT is maintained on the agenda Based on the informal consultation meeting, the future work and timetable are supposed to be discussed during the SCCR22.
