Proposal of Article on Managing for Stakeholders Daniel Fazoli and Sidnei da Col Professor Dr. João Maurício Gama Boaventura

Title: How to measure value creation for stakeholders?

Problem Situation There is no consensus on the concept of Value Value can be measured on companies in many ways “How can firms create different types of value for different stakeholders?” (Parmar, 2010) Freeman, R. Edward, Managing for Stakeholders (2007)

Research Problem “The next step is to see stakeholder theory as a way to redefine how we think about value creation.” (Freeman, 2010: 9)

Objectives The main objective is to describe how value creation for stakeholders is being measured, what factors are being considered for each kind of stakeholder (limited to primary stakeholders), in order to contribute in solving the problem identified by Harrison et al (2010, p.71): “…improved methods are needed for measuring value creation”.

Method Data Collect Analysis Qualitative approach for literature review based on Scopus, Web of Science and Spell Criteria Definition Empirical Review (quantitative, surveys, case studies) Analysis Shareholders … Value drives Expected return Business Risk Investment time horizon CSR Paper 1 Measure employed Paper 2 measure Paper “n”

Next steps (?) Data Collect and Analysis - Validate search criteria - Create sheet with all the information to be collected on papers - Analize the sample of articles Identify Contributions based on Data
