General Information KHAS is a national AFJROTC academic honor society. Provides additional leadership opportunities through its officer positions. KHAS leads community projects in addition to unit service events. Membership is available to cadets who meet eligibility requirements and complete pledge. Members will receive a certificate along with a KHAS badge and light blue shoulder cord.
Requirements Eligibility and Membership 90 average in AFJROTC previous quarter, No missed uniform wear previous quarter 80 average in all other classes prev. quarter No failing grade for any class prev. quarter No OSS for current quarter
Pledge Program Pledge Program Meeting eligibility allows cadets to begin the pledge program. Pledge Program Memory work Service for a teacher and parent/guardian Signatures from KHAS Officers
Expectations of Members Attend all KHAS meetings. Earn 6 community service hrs. with KHAS per semester. Contribute positively to KHAS & AFJROTC. Maintain eligibility requirements Failure to meet these requirements will lead to probation followed by expulsion from the society.
Operation Membership elects commander and all other officers. KHAS officers assume no special rank within AFJROTC based on KHAS position. KHAS meets at least once per month. KHAS conducts at least one community service project per quarter.
