2018 Strategy & purpose

Our Purpose To provide & support opportunities for – Parents: A forum to hear what’s happening at CHS & engage directly with the Principal and school teachers Provide input & influence school activities/ directions Meet other families via variety of multi cultural social events Students: Supporting learning & development improving academic performance Participate in leadership /life skill-building opportunities participate in co-curricular activites – e.g. sports & STEM programs, Duke of Edinburgh Awards (wider engagement) Building - infrastructure & facilities Provide an active student - centred voice in Dept. of Ed. projects Administer the P&C Building Fund and deliver smaller building projects

Key focus areas - 2018 High Resolves (yrs. 7 to 10) Duke of Edinburgh (yrs .9 &10) Sports program (all) Extra lighting & security Proactive voice in infrastructure planning Building e.g. toilets, lockers & hall Student & parent sessions Fund school initiatives – e.g. resilience/sleep MacLit program Merit awards & annual prize-giving Learning & development Student Well - being Leadership & co-curricular Enhancing the school environment

What we funded in 2017 - More than $107,000 was returned to the school

2018 Funding Commitments – to date So far, we’ve committed to spend $48,500 - • Well being sessions $10K • High Resolves $17K (grant received in advance from Chatswood RSL) • Year 12 Graduation gift $2K • Purchased 30 new lockers $10K (will recouped over several years) • Before and after school sports program $ 4.5K • Multicultural event $ 5K (to be recouped)
