San Mateo-Foster City School District Presentation to Board of Trustees Proposed Salary Increase for Substitute Teachers in 2017-2018 June 15, 2017

Use of Substitutes We have approximately 146 substitute teachers in our sub pool. In the 2016-2017 school year our substitute teachers covered approximately 6,289 absences. We average 43 teacher absences per day. Approximately 430 absences went unfilled in 2015-16 and year to date in 2016-17 490 absences went unfilled.
