WHAT IS RAVENNA YOUNG ARTIST OFFICE AND WHAT ARE ITS MAIN TASKS AND ACTIVITIES? 39 young artists offices spread all over the country All Young Artists Offices are part of GAI network – the Young Italian Artists organizzation GAI is an association created in order to support youth creativity through training, artistic promotion and research.

GAI AIMS Document all activities and to provide services, training and promotional opportunities for young people working in the fields of creativity, arts and entertainment.

RAVENNA YOUNG ARTIST OFFICE Managed by Associazione Culturale Mirada. Organizes trainings and promotional opportunities, initiatives and exhibitions related to the city area. All young people who live, work or study in one of the municipalities of Ravenna province have access to the office services.

A committee of experts is encharged of the selection of young artists, young curators and art critics. The winners are then called to create specific projects for RAM on a theme set-out by the art committee. Every selected artist is monitored and supported all through the working period by a curator until the final exibition. Therefore the competition offers so much more than an occasion of public visibility, putting each artist in a professional context. R.A.M. RAM publishes a collective catalog where each curator/ critic is responsible to write an essay on the work of the artist he has followed.
