A Perfect Church “Church” = The Called Out * All Saved Eph. 4:4; Mt. 16:18; Acts 2:47 * Group In Physical Area 1 Cor. 1:2 * Assembly 1 Cor. 14:35

A Perfect Church I. Thoroughly Equipped A. katartismos Eph. 4:12 - Complete Furnishing - Preparing Fully - From The Gifts (v11) 1. Thoroughly Equipped A.katartismos Eph.4:12 “equipping” (found only 1x in NT in this form, r/t katartizo)* Strong- complete furnishing (2677) Vine- preparing fully, implying a process leading to consummation How this perfection take place? v11 by the gifts that Jesus gave: apostles, prophets, evangelists, elders. These equip the members and then the members of the church are equipped so that the church can do its work. B. artios- complete, the man of God is perfect though the word of God (2 Tim. 3:17). Is the church thoroughly equipped or is it constantly evolving? 1 Tim. 3:15 after Timothy read what Paul wrote, could he know what conduct in the church ought to be? Is the conduct in the church today the same or different? Mt 16:18 I will build my church. Same church today? v19; 18:18 apostles will reveal what should be bound. Same things bound today? Mt. 28:20 apostles to teach what Jesus commanded them. Jesus expect same today? 1 Cor. 2:13; 11:23; 15:3 they wrote what was commanded/revealed to them. Same message for us today?: Gal. 1:6-9 do not change the message.
