Dual-Thermode System for Dynamic QST
Presentation transcript:

Medoc Launches: TSA 2 Advanced Thermosensory Stimulator 2019

TSA 2- Advanced Thermosensory Stimulator The TSA2 System is the latest advance in Thermal Pain Stimulation; offering enhanced precision in a robust, portable device. New software capabilities offer a tool for static and dynamic QST, as well as the most sophisticated of research protocols run from external platforms. .

TSA 2- Benefits Rapid thermal stimulation rates- up to 13°C/sec. Precise stimulation temperature control- upgraded technology that allows maximum accuracy when performing a test. External Control programming capability- for developing dynamic protocols using MATLAB® and similar platforms. Standard and Dual Thermode configurations- to facilitate CPM and other protocols. Upgradeable for the fMRI imaging environment.

TSA 2- Basic Configurations The TSA 2 system is compatible to work with two thermodes and comes with preparation for the fMRI thermode connection. The TSA 2 system will contain the external control software as well as EEPROM embedded for automatic loading of thermode. Upgrade the device configuration for dual thermode/ fMRI compatible, doesn't require device HW changes. Additional thermodes can be sold separately.

TSA 2- Thermode sizes 30x30mm Thermode 16x16mm Thermode 30x30mm fMRI Thermode 16x16mm fMRI Thermode Intra-oral Thermode Intra-vaginal Thermode

TSA 2-Technical specifications Temperature range 0°C – 53°C (Note: range depends on the protocol used). Temperature change rate range 0.1-13°C/sec (Note: Maximal rate depends on the protocol used). Stimulation methods Limits, Levels, TSL, Chain, Pulses, Ramp and Hold, Search, VAS Search, CPM (for dual thermode protocols). Absolute temperature accuracy ± 0.3°C Maximum duration at target temperature 600 sec Approvals CE, FDA Software operating System Windows 7, Windows 8 , Windows 10

TSA 2- External Control Enables external computer programs ( such as MATLAB® ) to interface with Medoc Main Station software using a closed set of commands and responses. Provides programmatic access to specific actions that can be applied during a typical test procedure, including the ability to select the next program, next sequence, start or stop a test etc. Standard feature on the new TSA 2 device. Works with a standard ethernet cable.

TSA 2- Thermode monitoring and accuracy assurance A memory module (EEPROM) is embedded in the thermode head and pre-loaded with its calibration and control tables. Plug-and-play system that automatically recognizes and loads the thermode file. TSA2 software will automatically notify the customer when calibration is required. To assure accuracy and performance, the thermode’s recommended lifetime is 3 years after first use or 3,000 usage hours. A message will be displayed after this period recommending thermode replacement.

Recent example studies TSA 2 follows its predecessor TSA-II, with no changes to its core technology and thermode size and shape. The gold-standard 30x30 thermode is available for the TSA 2 device. Normative data gathered with previous TSA devices and previous TSA publications are applicable to the new TSA 2 device. 75% 17% אווו גרפים
