4th Q, wk. #8 May 13-17, 2019

Activity, 5/13: Receive roles for Gatsby Party Choose a male or female character to portray If you don’t like your choice, you may trade with someone else Receive rubric for Gatsby Party You must do the writing on back and turn it in before the party You must attach your graded notes to the rubric if you use that as your textual evidence. NOTES MUST BE CIRCLED BY ME WHEN I GRADED IT IN ORDER TO BE USED. Otherwise, find your own textual evidence and put source (website URL or PowerPoint and slide# from my website) Sign up for participation in Gatsby Party Reminders: Character analysis of Amer. Dream essays due tomorrow during class If you have not turned in your stamped papers for this quarter, staple them and put them in the tray today

Activity, 5/14 If you have not turned in your stamped papers, do so now If you did not receive a character or rubric yesterday, do so now If you did not get to sign up for a contribution to the Gatsby Party, do so now (and record it on your rubric sheet) If you have not turned in your essay (charac. Analysis of Amer. Dream), do so by the end of the period You will be receiving back the rest of your formative papers and you need to take your folders with you today. PLEASE NO PHONES OUT TODAY UNLESS ALL WORK HAS BEEN TURNED INTO TRAY; NO TALKING SO PEOPLE CAN CONCENTRATE AND WORK

Change in yesterday’s instructions about your notes as text evidence: It should read that you may use any notes that are NOT circled as text evidence, as long as they are attached. If the number is circled, or the statement was marked with an X, it will not count as text evidence; you need to produce your evidence from another place for that question
