Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering Invitation to a Research Symposium First UNISA Industrial Engineering and Robotics Symposium (IERS_2019) It is with great pride and pleasure that you are hereby invited to the first ever UNISA Industrial Engineering and Robotics Symposium to be hosted by UNISA’s department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (DMIE) on 17 – 18 September 2019. Our launching theme for 2019 will be fourth Industrial Revolution (i4/4IR). The symposium will focus on a variety of topics under the Industrial Engineering and i4 banner with specific theme tracts comprising the following: Future Factories, Smart Factories, and the Internet of Things Machine Learning (Ai), Advanced Manufacturing, and Robotics Additive Manufacturing, Organisational Computing, and Simulation Operations, Quality Management, Lean Healthcare, and Sustainability You are kindly requested to submit your extended abstract no later than 16-Augus-2019 to IERS@unisa.ac.za.
