Rights & Responsibilities This is what we will do for you: We will provide information and advice on courses, qualifications and help with cost where applicable. Teaching will be by experienced and trained staff. We will make every effort to contact you if your class is cancelled. We will ensure that your progress is assessed regularly and feedback provided to you on how you can improve. All comments and complaints will be listened to and resolved quickly. We will provide a safe and secure environment with all safeguarding issues dealt with by our Safeguarding Officer or a member of the Safeguarding team. This is part of our Student Charter. Point to it on the noticeboard (if your class is in a centre) 6

Your tutor will provide you with Health and Safety information relating to your course. Please follow their advice so that you keep yourself and other learners safe. We take online safety responsibilities seriously and do our utmost to protect you from abuse by the use of Bucks County Council Firewalls and fully complying with General Data Processing Regulations so as to not misuse your data. If you see any online material in our centres that supports terrorism or violent extremism, please report it to your tutor immediately so that it can be removed. Go through the health & safety section of the start of course checklist in your course folder. Stop the induction here and walk the fire route. Check out the Next Steps noticeboard at your local adult learning centre. The Community Outreach team provides free courses to help JCP jobseekers find work. The Importance of Learner Progress Explain the importance of ILPs as apart from the value to learners of seeing the progress they make, it is a requirement of our funders and enable our courses to be heavily subsidised. In order to qualify for Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) funding which subsidises most of our course, we have to provide evidence of learning and progress. Please help us meet this requirement by completing learning agreements and individual learning plans in your sessions.  ·

Enjoy Your Course! We would like to know what you think of us so that we know how well we are doing and what we can do to improve. Speak to your tutor or assessor about any issues to do with your course. Speak to reception staff about any centre issues. If you wish, fill in a comments card at reception and either hand it back to reception staff or post it back to us free. As part of our quality improvement process, we carry out observations of our tutors & assessors and welcome any feedback that you are able to provide during the visit or via our online survey. Take part in the ESFA Learner Satisfaction Survey which is available between November and May each year. Remind learners that the induction is on our website if they want to refer back to it.
