Alzheimers Alzheimer's is more serious then people think It effects the loved ones closest to them

Alzheimer’s Is A Deadly Disease Alzheimer’s is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States’ and’ despite research efforts, its also among the top 10 diseases in the nation that cannot be prevented, reversed, or cured Most patients live for more than five years and some for 10-15 years from diagnosis if they are otherwise healthy In the end stages Alzheimer’s impacts balance, walking, and swallowing.

Options FOR PEOPLE WITH ALZHEIMERS Occupational therapist: Improves daily living and work skills of patients Geriatrician: Focuses on the health care of elderly people Neurologist: Treats nervous system disorders Psychiatrist: Treats mental disorders primarily with medications Primary care provider (PCP): Prevents, diagnoses, and treats diseases
