Weekly Objectives Spelling Words Week of Sept 25, 2017 Issue # 1 Mrs. Castellano's Class Weekly Objectives Homework As part of your 20 minutes reading time, please use istation; storyline online; bookflix: bkflix.Grolier.com-UN: jdrugan. PW: bookflix Monday– Read your fluency folder pages: 15-16 (time for one minute); Write spelling words three times each. Math: p.Week 9. Bring homework to school everyday. Home project due this Wednesday. Tuesday– Read your fluency folder Pages: 15-16 (time for one minute). Math: p.Week 9. Write spelling words in ABC order. Home Project Due. Wednesday- Read your fluency folder Pages: 15-16 (time for one minute); Math: p.Week 9. Write a sentence for all spelling words. Home Project. Is due. Thursday- Read your fluency folder Pages: 15-16 (time for one minute); Math: p.Week 9. Ask parents to give you a practice spelling test. Practice the ones you missed. Write a sentence for all your vocabulary word Friday-Tests on story of the week, spelling words, vocabulary words . I will send the tests on Friday. Please sign and return them. If you don’t get them, please write me a note in the agenda. Language Arts – Fiction & Non fiction, characters, setting, plot, Problem and solution, Parts of a book-glossary, table of contents, past tense endings, declarative and interrogative sentences, prepositions, plural nouns, author’s purpose. Math – Problem Solving. Science – Parts work together. Social Studies – The Pledge of Allegiance. Spelling Words Spelling Pattern: ch much, chip, each, chew, inch, itch, catch, match, witch, watch, stitch Vocabulary Words huge: big, colossal, enormous discard: throw away, get rid of Repair: fix, mend, put back together. near: close by. final: last. build: make. meal: feast, dinner, food. difficult: hard to do something. below: under ruin: spoil, go bad. Home Project Home Project is due this Wednesday, September 27, 2017. No late projects will be accepted. These count for three grades. Work must be neat. You can email to me if you wish. A copy of this project is in the school’s website under my name. Announcements Sept 27 Early Release at 11:25am. Intercession Break: October 2, through October 13. Thank you for taking students to doctor appointments during this time! We return Monday, October 16. During intercession, please have your child use istation everyday for 30 min.. The public library is a good place to use the computer and check out books. Practice mental addition and subtraction everyday. We need to win the Math Bee competition 
