Presentation transcript:

Include a phrase that makes your project noteworthy here … Allude to the broader potential implications and benefits afforded by the work your team completed in capstone. This column tells the Story of your Capstone Experience. This side of the poster is your “engineering story.” This side of the poster should inform the audience as to how your team arrived at the right side. REMOVE THIS BOX: Instead include in this space a key visuals with minimal captions. When developing this section, avoid stating every step and providing every detail, and instead, consider the key decisions, steps, and findings over the past two years. Your team will very likely have to reorder these various decisions, steps, and findings to help the audience of your poster understand your process and your story. Be cognizant of the flow through this section. Start in the upper left hand corner and work toward the lower right hand corner. The focus of this section should be the visuals. Taken together the visuals should allow a person to have an idea of your team’s over arching story during the two year capstone. Visuals should be accompanied with a sentence or two of narrative, so that when a reader gets closer to the poster, they can learn more specifically the details of your story. Text in this space should be at least 24 point font. Use an Sans style font such as Arial or Helvetica. Use bold face fonts and italic text sparingly to show emphasis only when really required to help with understanding your poster. Images should not use any effects formatting. This means that there should be no shadowing, reflection, glow, bevel, or 3D rotation turned on for your images. ALL IMAGES NOT OWNED BY THE TEAM MUST HAVE A SOURCE CITATION. This column is the Result of your Capstone Story. This side of the poster should “sell” your capstone design work and should be informed by the left side of the poster. In other words, it’s the result of capstone work. This right side column should stand-alone from the left side of your poster, so that if read from top-to-bottom, the public understands the essence of your capstone project. REMOVE THIS BOX: Instead include in this space a key visual that fully describes or sells your project. This visual should draw an audience into your poster and be fodder for conversation. This image is the star of the show in this column. Use the image to sell the project. Space both the image and the text in such a way as to fill this space. You may have to move the center divider left or right to ensure the best fit for your content. Images should not use any effects formatting. This means that there should be no shadowing, reflection, glow, bevel, or 3D rotation turned on for your images. REMOVE THIS BOX: Include in this space key benefits and implications associated with your design. How does your design help society? How does your design help a client? How does your design improve the human condition? Etc. Text in this space should be at least 24 point font. Use an Sans style font such as Arial or Helvetica. Use bold face fonts and italic text sparingly to show emphasis only when really required to help with understanding your poster. Include the name of your project here. Students: List the names of your team members here. Advisors: List the name(s) of your advisor here. Sponsor: List the name(s) of your sponsors here.
