Members 2019 The number of members has not increased since last year. EURIG still has 45 members in 27 countries. Outreach begun in 2018: Belgium Greece

EURIG Executive Committee The executive committee was elected at the EURIG meeting in 2017 in Italy: Renate Behrens, German National Library (European representative in RSC) Hanne Hørl Hansen, DBC (chair) Marja-Liisa Seppälä, National Library of Finland (vice chair) Ahava Cohen, National Library of Israel (secretary) Ulrike Junger, German National Library (European RDA Board member) joined the ExCo in 2018 in accordance with the Cooperation Agreement. The Committee has held 8 skype meetings during the year.

European Representative to RSC Renate Behrens, German National Library, was nominated by EURIG as European representative in RSC 2019 to the end of 2021. The nomination was accepted by the RSC and the RDA Board. Ahava Cohen, National Library of Israel, has also participated as back-up for Renate. Thanks to both and to their institutions!

Other business In September a statement with questions and recommendations was sent to the RSC and the RDA Board summarizing the feedback and the questions raised at our 2018 meeting in May. The statement is on our website: http://www.rda-rsc.org/sites/all/files/EURIG%20statement%20Betaversion_logo.docx The answers have been shared by e-mail. As a result, EURIG has been asked to create a proposal for a general application profile and, later on, an application profile for music. The EURIG Editorial Committee worked out a draft for a general application profile and send it to the RSC at the end of March. (We hope to have a response before our meeting.)

Other business In December 2018 EURIG members were sent an e-mail including information about the plan for release of RDA 3R EURIG’s review a call for nomination of candidates for the ExCo an announcement a planned satellite meeting on RDA in connection with IFLA 2019 in Athens. (Working title: RDA 2019. August 21 at Central Library, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) The Editorial Committee has reviewed elements (September 2018) and appellation elements (January 2019) and commented on ORDAC’s review of Collective Agent (March 2019). From 1-17 April 2019 the Editorial Committee participated in the final review before the stabilization of the English text of the RDA Toolkit.

Other business In preparing a standard for regional representations and organization, the RDA Board has been inspired by EURIG. Even so, the RDA Board has requested a few changes in our cooperation agreement. The ExCo has therefore prepared a proposal for our members meeting. The group behind the European BIBFRAME workshop has addressed a letter to the RSC encouraging clarification of the connection between RDA and BIBFRAME. EURIG was asked whether we would co-sign the letter. Though many of us sympathize with the idea of clarification, the ExCo didn’t find such activity within the scope of the EURIG cooperation agreement.
