We Are Sponsoring … Francisco's Story Francisco lives with his parents and 1 brother. His parents struggle to provide for the family. His father is a farm laborer and his mother is a housewife. Despite their efforts it is difficult to meet the family's needs. Francisco is growing up in a poor rural community in Mexico. Homes are small and cramped and made with whatever materials are available. Most families live on maize, beans, peppers and occasionally meat. In some areas eggs and cheese are available. The climate in much of Mexico is dry and arid most of the year, but south of Mexico City the weather can be hot and humid. Francisco is not in school at this time. He likes to play creative games. He helps at home by being good. He is in satisfactory health. Our sponsorship commitment will help provide Francisco and his community with improved health resulting from access to clean water and training in disease prevention, hygiene, and nutrition. Our faithful support will also provide children with assistance learning reading, writing, and math. Adults will receive business training, and youth will learn vocational skills.
