BEGINNING ESL LESSON

Breakfast is the first meal of the day. We eat breakfast in the morning.

Many people eat bacon and eggs in the morning. Bacon and eggs are fried in a skillet.

Many people eat toast for breakfast. We put bread in a toaster to make toast.

A dozen means twelve. There are 12 eggs in this carton of eggs.

Eggs come from chickens. This chicken laid three eggs.

These are corn tortillas. Tortillas taste great with eggs and cheese.

Breakfast burritos have eggs, cheese, and potatoes inside. They taste good with salsa or guacamole.

We cook breakfast on a stove. Most stoves have four burners.

This man is eating pancakes. We put butter and syrup on pancakes.

The man is flipping a pancake in a frying pan.

A frying pan is also called a skillet. Frying pans have a handle. handle

These are waffles. Supermarkets sell frozen waffles. Frozen waffles are heated in a toaster.

Some people make homemade waffles in a waffle maker.

This is maple syrup. Maple syrup comes from maple trees. The man is collecting syrup in a bucket.

Butter is made from cream. Cream comes from a cow.

This is a bowl of hot oatmeal. Oatmeal is good for your health.

We can buy cereal at the supermarket. Pour the cereal in a bowl and add milk.

This is a bagel with cream cheese. Bagels can be heated in a toaster.
