Water in the Atmosphere Water Cycle Cloud Formation Types of Clouds

What is the water cycle? Condensation Evaporation Precipitation Brainpop Condensation Evaporation Precipitation Collection Let’s listen to Tim & Moby discuss the Water Cycle. After the movie, write 5-8 sentenced about evaporation, condensation, precipitation & the water cycle.

How are clouds formed? STEP THREE STEP TWO STEP ONE Brainpop STEP THREE When the temperature of the water vapor falls below the dew point, water vapor condenses around dust particles in the air forming small liquid water droplets (a cloud) STEP TWO STEP ONE As water vapor rises, it begins to cool Liquid water evaporates becoming water vapor (gas) That’s simple

What are the three types of clouds? Cirrus Clouds Low to medium altitude Medium altitude High altitude Made of liquid water droplets Made of liquid water droplets Made of ice crystals Wispy, feather-like clouds Layered clouds that cover some or most of the sky Fluffy, cotton-like clouds Cumulus Clouds Stratus Clouds

What are different subtypes of clouds? Type of stratus cloud Type of cumulus cloud Cumulonimbus clouds Created by cold or occluded fronts Rain or drizzle Thunderstorms and/or tornadoes Nimbostratus clouds What do you think “nimbo” means?
