District Work in KK River Watershed Significant planning, design, and construction in progress and planned Given size, scope, and impact of District work, important that District: provide ample opportunities for input from stakeholders provide educational opportunities to local community about projects’ impacts

SSCHC Strong partner with District Have led KK River corridor outreach and educational activities for more than decade Resides within project geography Existing long standing relationships and trust with community members Understands role that where people live, work, and play have impact on community health

SSCHC (con’t) Ability to help educate and solicit community about project as it develops Result in better project for community For these reasons, staff proposes contract with SSCHC to provide community outreach services No competitive procurement utilized
