Vision “The OER World Map is a Social Education Management Information System which combines elements of a social networking platform, a business information system, a geoinformation system and a library catalogue. It collects the building blocks of the global OER ecosystem.“
Quality Quality is being highlighted as a new major epic as well as an own track within the theory of change diagram Example: standardization of repository API for automatic import Quality of data input will be important topic as well.
Individual resources Will be added in two, potentially three steps: Link LRMI (MARC) Goal is not to build a complete catalogue, but to make data modeling capacities more complete. Examples: individual OER, policies, articles on OER
Country Map User Interface Focus on one country Easy to use, limited to the essential Business Model: Start with additional funding in Germany and roll out to other countries
Semi-automated data collection Item is collected manually World Map connects with API of item Automatic import of subjects, number of resources, licenses
