Common Core Standards: RI.9-10.1, W.9-10.6 Friday, May 24th, 2019 Aim: How can we identify reliable online resources as we research a technology innovation for a crime scene? Objective: Students will identify reliable online sources for their technology innovation used at a crime scene. Agenda 1.) Do Now/Turn and Talk: Provide your answer independently. Turn and talk with your tablemates. 2.) Whole Class Sharing: Captains will share with the class. 3.) Work Period: Google search your research paper question. Find two reliable websites (a news source like CNN, New York Times, Fox News, ABC News, NBC News, Huffington Post, USAToday, a college/university, and/or website ending with .gov or .org) and create source cards for each one. On each source card, write the author (last name, first name), title of the article, title of the webpage, date, URL, and access date. Begin finding quotes (two quotes from each source: 1-2 sentences per quote). 6.) Reflections: What did you learn about technology innovations used in a crime scene? Was there any new or surprising information about your chosen technology innovation?
