fees not paid on time will incur a NEWSLETTER SUMMER 2019 Dear Parents, It’s hard to believe that there are only a couple of weeks before the summer holidays! Hopefully the weather will sort itself out and we will be graced with sunshine during the break. We would like to thank you for your continued support and wish you a fabulous, safe summer. With best wishes from The Play Pad Staff - Louise, Sarah, Claire, Sue, Vicky, Luke and Hannah The Play Pad Year 6 Leavers We will be especially sorry to say farewell to our current year 6 children at the end of this term. Most of them have attended The Play Pad for the whole of their time at Stafford Leys, and so we have been privileged to see them develop into fine young people. We wish them all the very best for their futures and hope they will pop in occasionally to visit us. Safe Summer Please remind your child/ren how to keep safe when out and about during the summer holidays, especially if they are allowed out on their own. INVOICES Invoices are prepared and ready for collection near the registers the week before school breaks up for a holiday. Parents are expected to take theirs and pay by the date the fees are due. From the autumn term, fees not paid on time will incur a late charge of £10. If you have any problems regarding the payment of fees, please speak to Louise. Unfortunately, Hannah Prince will be leaving The Play Pad – her final session will be Friday 28th June. Over the past eight months Hannah has been a real asset to The Play Pad team on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays after school - she will be missed by children and staff alike. Hannah will continue with her role in the school office. Early congratulations go to Sarah who will be getting married this summer.

Please remember to keep us informed of any changes to emergency contact telephone numbers, addresses, who can/cannot collect your child, medical conditions etc. Questionnaires Results of the questionnaires are available on the whiteboard or via the Stafford Leys School website: information for parents > before & after school care> The Play Pad The Play Pad If you need to make changes to any sessions for the forthcoming autumn term please do so before the end of term. It’s looking pretty busy already. Reminder: 4 weeks’ notice in writing is required regarding cancellations to your child/ren’s sessions. Extra sessions are subject to availability. The trial period for outdoor play before school has now finished. It was so successful we try to play outside before school from 8 - 8.30am The Play Pad welcomes donations of DVDs and toys that your children have grown out of. Such items are of great interest to the children and we can really give them a new lease of life! Some of the exciting activities that the children and staff have been up to this term: stretchy dough; pasta picture frames; sunflower/runner bean pots for Father’s Day; sponge painting; bracelets; fridge magnets; masks; paper mobiles; kites; junk modelling; sparkly wands; free painting; stained glass window pictures; crocodile pegs; Hama beads; shell painting; designing cards to celebrate Eid, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and birthdays…plus lots of playing!
