Volunteers and Guest Readers! Upcoming Events Monday, January 21st NO SCHOOL (MLK) Friday, January 25th Report Cards sent home Wednesday, January 30th- Early release 1:50 1st week of February 100th Day of school celebrations Wednesday, February 13th Valentine’s Party 2:30-3:30 Volunteers and Guest Readers! Please let me know or if you would like to come in and volunteer. We love guest readers and helpers in the classroom. Also we always like recess and lunch supervision support. If that is something you would be willing to do I’d be happy to share best times to come in  Assessments With report cards coming home next Friday I wanted to let you know how proud I am of your students! They have worked so hard during these past few weeks of testing and showing what they know. Please keep in mind that we do not give 4s on the report card. A 3 means they are right where they need to be independently, 2 means they need support to achieve the goal and a 1 means that even with support they do not achieve grade level expectations. Things to work on at home… We are halfway through the school year! With that being said the next semester will fly by and academic goals are increasing. You can help your student be successful at home by simply having conversations with them about anything and reading daily! But here are some things to work on consistently: Rhyming! Recognizing rhyming words and making up their own (even if they aren’t real words!) Counting to 100! Students should be able to count to 100 without any goof ups Zipping/Buttoning/Tying Shoes
