Composition of the Human Body Imam Jafar Sadiq (as) Reference: The Great Muslim Scientist and Philospher, Jafar As-Sadiq

Imam Sadiq’s theory of the composition of the human body Imam Sadiq (as) said: All that is in the earth is also in the human body but not all elements are in the same proportion. Four elements are in very large quantities. Eight elements in small quantities. Eight elements in minute quantities.

The difference between a genius and an ordinary mind Some people believe that every kind of knowledge is in our subconscious mind but a thick curtain hangs between the conscious and subconscious mind. The curtain prevents us from accessing the knowledge in our subconscious mind. The difference between an ordinary person and a genius is that an ordinary person does not know what is in his subconscious mind, but a genius has access to this knowledge. Imam Sadiq was truly a genius endowed with divine knowledge.

Science confirms Imam’s theory Twelve and a half century after the shahadat of Imam Sadiq his theory is confirmed today by science. There are 102 elements in the earth and all of them are present in the human body. Four of these elements are in large quantities: Oxygen, Carbon, Hydrogen and Nitrogen. Eight elements are in small quantities: Magnesium, Sodium, Potassium, Calcium, Phosphorous, Sulphur, Iron and Chlorine. Eight elements are in minute quantities: Molybdenum, Cobalt, Manganese, Copper, Zinc, Fluorine, Silicon and Iodine.

How to study the properties of an object In the 18th century, scientists realised that to analyse the elements in the human body they would need to dissect the body. Here again, Imam Sadiq had given an indication of how to carry out this research. Imam said: “If we want to know the properties of an object, we must divide it into its smallest parts and study these parts.” “We cannot find the properties of water, when it is an ocean. We must study only one drop of it if we want to discover the properties of water.”

Descartes reaffirms Imams theory Descartes, who is considered to be the father of modern research restated the same thing in the 17th century. He said: “If we want to know the physical and chemical properties of a thing we must split it and go on splitting till it can be split no more and then study the smallest particles to find the properties of that object.” Modern scientific research is carried out in accordance with this principle. However, Imam Sadiq, the Great Genius, had said the same thing hundreds of years ago.
