One: Search us with your eyes Lord and speak our name. *Call to Worship   One:   Search us with your eyes Lord and speak our name.

Many: We will leave our boats and with caring hands, labor to give constant love that keeps on loving, as you have called us and taught us.

Lord, You Have Come to the Lakeshore (1) to the Lakeshore (Tú Has Venido a la Orilla) 344 WORDS: Cesareo Gabaraín; trans. by Gertrude C. Suppe, George Lockwood, and Raquel Gutiérrez-Achon, 1987 (Mt. 4:18-22; Mk. 1:16-20; Lk. 5:1-11) 1. Lord, you have come to the lakeshore looking neither for wealthy nor wise ones; © 1979 Ediciones Paulinas; trans. © 1989 The United Methodist Publishing House

you only asked me to follow humbly.

Lord, You Have Come to the Lakeshore (Refrain) O Lord, with your eyes you have searched me, and while smiling have spoken my name;

now my boat’s left on the shoreline behind me; by your side I will seek other seas.

Lord, You Have Come to the Lakeshore (2) 2. You know so well my possessions; my boat carries no gold and no weapons; you will find there my nets and labor.

Lord, You Have Come to the Lakeshore (Refrain) O Lord, with your eyes you have searched me, and while smiling have spoken my name;

now my boat’s left on the shoreline behind me; by your side I will seek other seas.

Lord, You Have Come to the Lakeshore (3) 3. You need my hands, full of caring through my labors to give others rest, and constant love that keeps on loving.

Lord, You Have Come to the Lakeshore (Refrain) O Lord, with your eyes you have searched me, and while smiling have spoken my name;

now my boat’s left on the shoreline behind me; by your side I will seek other seas.

Lord, You Have Come to the Lakeshore (4) 4. You, who have fished other oceans, ever longed for by souls who are waiting, my loving friend, as thus you call me.

Lord, You Have Come to the Lakeshore (Refrain) O Lord, with your eyes you have searched me, and while smiling have spoken my name;

now my boat’s left on the shoreline behind me; by your side I will seek other seas.

Prayer O Great God of the Universe, We long to know your peace, to have it settle our minds. We yearn to know our peace, to have it still our thoughts. We look to the day when we may know peace, even in our bones. Thank you for promising that you will not give trouble to us as the world gives but instead give us the peace that passes all understanding. We stand ready to receive your peace in our hearts and lives. Amen.

WORDS: Isaac Watts, 1707; refrain by Robert Lowry, 1867 Marching to Zion (1) Marching to Zion 733 WORDS: Isaac Watts, 1707; refrain by Robert Lowry, 1867 1. Come, we that love the Lord, and let our joys be known; join in a song with sweet accord, join in a song with sweet accord

and thus surround the throne,

Marching to Zion (Refrain) We’re marching to Zion, beautiful, beautiful Zion;

we’re marching upward to Zion, the beautiful city of God.

Marching to Zion (2) 2. Let those refuse to sing who never knew our God; but children of the heavenly King, but children of the heavenly King may

speak their joys abroad, may speak their joys abroad.

Marching to Zion (Refrain) We’re marching to Zion, beautiful, beautiful Zion;

we’re marching upward to Zion, the beautiful city of God.

Marching to Zion (3) 3. The hill of Zion yields a thousand sacred sweets before we reach the heavenly fields, before we reach the heavenly fields,

or walk the golden streets, or walk the golden streets.

Marching to Zion (Refrain) We’re marching to Zion, beautiful, beautiful Zion;

we’re marching upward to Zion, the beautiful city of God.

Marching to Zion (4) 4. Then let our songs abound, and every tear be dry; we’re marching through Emmanuel’s ground, we’re marching through Emmanuel’s ground,

to fairer worlds on high, to fairer worlds on high.

Marching to Zion (Refrain) We’re marching to Zion, beautiful, beautiful Zion;

we’re marching upward to Zion, the beautiful city of God.

Farewell to Pastor Teresa (Book of Worship #598) Pastor: Thank you for the love and support you have shown me while I have ministered among you. I am grateful for the ways my leadership has been accepted. I ask forgiveness for the mistakes I have made. As I leave, I carry with me all that I have learned here.

Congregation: We receive your thankfulness, offer forgiveness and send you off on Renewal Leave for you to be renewed in body and soul, continue your education and spend time with God. We will hold you in prayer during your leave. We pray your ministry with the people of Corinth UMC be a time of blessing and hope. We ask your forgiveness for our mistakes. Your influence on our faith and faithfulness will not leave us with your departure.

Pastor: I thank you for the gift of Renewal Leave, accept your gratitude and forgiveness, and I forgive you. I trust that our time together and our parting are pleasing to God. I release you from turning to me and depending on me. I encourage your continuing ministry and will pray for you and your new pastor.

Unison Prayer: Eternal God, whose steadfast love for us is from everlasting to everlasting, we give you thanks for cherished memories and commend one another into your care as we move in new directions. Keep us one in your love forever, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

You shall go out with joy And be led forth with peace The mountains and the hills Will break forth before you

There'll be shouts of joy And all the trees of the field Will clap, will clap their hands

And all the trees of the field Will clap their hands The trees of the field Will clap their hands

The trees of the field Will clap their hands While you go out with joy

You shall go out with joy And be led forth with peace The mountains and the hills Will break forth before you

There'll be shouts of joy And all the trees of the field Will clap, will clap their hands

And all the trees of the field Will clap their hands The trees of the field Will clap their hands

The trees of the field Will clap their hands While you go out with joy
