Lesson plan on Global Warming Stage 1. (5 minutes) Tuning in Strategies Brainstorming Asking question Discussion For example: the teacher asks the students what they know about global warming
Stage 2. (15 minutes) Finding out: read the textbook Geography (Cambers and Sibley, Cambridge, case study 30b), underline all the words students don’t know
Stage 3. (20 min) Sorting out: the students are divided in groups of 2 Stage 3. (20 min) Sorting out: the students are divided in groups of 2. On the blackboard the teacher draws a big circle divided into two parts: my own country; the world. Each couple of students has to think about an effect of global warming on his country and on the world in general. Then one of each couple comes to the blackboard and writes what the couple has thought. At the end the blackboard is full of thoughts
Stage 4. (15 min)Reflecting: the students compare the effect of global warming in their country to those of the global world At the end: in pairs the students complete the tasks on the textbook
Reflecting: (5 min) have I learnt something from this lesson?
