Chapter 12 ~ Lesson 2 Indulgence – Concept: What was the Protestant Reformation? Indulgence – The remission of the temporal punishment due to sins already forgiven by God Can be obtained from the Church for ourselves or for the souls in purgatory through certain good works and prayers Purgatory – A temporary place in the after life where those who are not perfectly purified remain until they are ready to achieve the holiness to enter heaven.
