Purpose Certify personnel to be Live Fire Adjuncts with Gwinnett County Fire Academy and be able to actively participate during Live Fire Training. Improve our use of Thermal Imaging Cameras. Refresher for already certified Adjuncts as some rules have changed since burn building put in place.
Rules Complete classroom portion. Shadow a certified Live Fire Instructor during Live Fire Training for ½ day session, in various positions.
Terminal Objective All students will have an understanding and have the ability to implement NFPA 1403, Gwinnett County Live Fire Guidelines, and properly use TIC’s used by Gwinnett.
Introduction Situational Awareness and Safety Different playing field when conducting live fire training with inexperienced personnel than when on the fire ground. Same dangers just different rules.
