“Latest generation of industry leading TM-T88 series” Positioning “Latest generation of industry leading TM-T88 series”

Positioning The MKIV is about improved graphics capabilities Main board redesign allows graphics data to reach the print head much faster Improves Windows driver printing Additional graphics management provides flexibility

Fully compatible with the TM-T88III The TM-T88IV has all the benefits of the TM-T88III with improved performance and design Speed Graphics Integration Design

Changes Design Cover Colour Reliability

Changes Design

Connectivity Factory Standard configurations Options IEEE Parallel Serial – RS-232 High speed USB – UB-U05 Options USB + Powered USB Ethernet 802.11b

Options WH10 – Wall hanging bracket Code change from WH-10-020 -> WH-10-030

Introduction New in the TM-T88 line up Inherits similar performance and management features to TM-T90 Fast and powerful new graphics printer Improves on performance and capabilities of the TM-T88III

Features Benefits Operating Print speed Up to 200mm/s printing for text and graphics Supports two colour thermal paper Print speed is 100mm/s for two colour paper mode Graphics capabilities Fast internal graphics processing Fast Windows printing support Improved on-board graphics management Can store NVRAM logos same as TM-T88III Also supports indexed NVRAM logo storage Individually managed NVRAM logos via unique key code ID Can view stored NVRAM logos using self test function Invoked via control panel Also view memory usage and logo key codes

Features Benefits Management Memory Switches Maintenance Counters ASB Configure printer settings via software Use Memory Switch Setting utility to perform this function Can configure many settings including: Paper mode Print density Serial I/F speed Maintenance Counters Monitor work rate information including: Number of lines / characters printed Number of cuts Operating time ASB Monitor printer status Paper level and cover sensors Online/Offline status Cutter & other errors TM-T88III also supports ASB

Feature Benefits Other Improvements & Added Capabilities Increased Page Mode capacity Faster serial interface speed support Can be configured for 57600bps, 115200bps Additional 2D Bar Code printing support PDF417 Enables large amount of text and data storage QR Code Store numeric or alpha numeric characters

TM-T88IV to TM-T90 Comparison The TM-T88IV does not replace the TM-T90 Additional features of TM-T90 Full cut Upright mount Longer life & MCBF Selectable roll width Larger roll diameter Smaller foot print Cable management cover Completely hides cable connectors Does not add to the foot print

TM-T88 MKIII to MKIV Transition Graphics Management Capabilities MKIV Supports contiguous and indexed NVRAM logo storage Contiguous NVRAM logo storage Works the same as TM-T88III Applications developed for MKIII can keep using this method on MKIV All logos are stored sequentially To update or delete a logo is an all-or-none operation Indexed NVRAM logo storage Not available on TM-T88III Logos are assigned a unique identifier key code Logos are individually stored and can be updated or deleted individually Additional development may be required to take advantage of this method

Notes Note about interface options Full print graphics speed may not be achieved when using a serial interface option Specifically relevant to graphics intensive applications that do not use NVRAM for logos or those that use Windows driver printing To achieve best printing performance use parallel or other high bandwidth interface option (Ethernet, USB, etc)

Notes Achieving best printing performance with graphics intensive applications MKIV with Serial interface Use NVRAM stored graphics MKIV with other interface option Print graphics direct to the printer Suitable for Windows driver printing Or use NVRAM stored logos
