Bell Work 3/20/2017 Use your comp. book to define the following words: independent variable dependent variable control group experimental group constants Variable that CHANGES Variable that is being tested Group used for comparison Group exposed to independent variable All the things that need to stay the same in the experiment

Bell Work 3/21/2017 Get your comp book! Place them in order using the steps of the design process. Write your answers in the table below. Ask Imagine Plan Create Improve Scenario Design Step Rachel creates a leash that has one handle and splits into two lines. She tests the leash by walking her dogs on it in her backyard. The handle is too small for her hand, but everything else works great.   Rachel brainstorms ways that she could make walking her dogs easier. She thinks of several ideas that could help solve her problem and writes them all down on paper. Rachel changes the handle on the leash, so that it will fit her hand more securely. Rachel has two dogs and it is her responsibility to walk them every day after school. She always gets tangled up in their leashes and wishes there was a way to walk both without carrying two leashes. Rachel decides her best idea is a leash that has one handle, but splits into two lines. She decides to draw out her idea and make a list of supplies she’ll need to create this leash. Create Imagine Improve Ask Plan
