MAKE AN EGG FLOAT BY:HAILEY,CORD,SAMANTHA

QUESTION Which solution will cause the egg to float the most?

HYPOTHESIS IF YOU PUT AN EGG IN LIQUID SOAP AND SALT THEN WE THINK THE EGG WILL FLOAT.

MATERIALS WATER SIX BROWN EGGS LIQUID SOAP COOKING OIL SALT SUGAR SIX GLASSES TABLESPOON MEASURING CUP

PROCEDURES 1.FILL CUP UP WITH ONE CUP OF WATER 2.PLACE BROWN EGG IN WATER 3.PUT TABLESPOONS OF SALT ONE AT A TIME TILL EGG FLOATS 4.RECORD DATA 5.REPEAT WITH SALT AND LIQUID SOAP, SALT AND COOKING OIL, SUGAR AND WATER, SUGAR AND COOKING OIL, SUGAR AND LIQUID SOAP

DATA SALT,WATER YES 7TBS. SALT,LIQUID SOAP 6TBS. SALT,COOKING OIL NO SUGAR,WATER 8TBS. SUGAR,LIQUID SOAP SUGAR,COOKING OIL

RESULTS SALT: The egg floated in the substance but with different amounts of salt. The egg did not float in cooking oil. Sugar: The egg floated in the substance but with different amounts of sugar.

CONCLUSION WE EXCEPT OUR HYPOTHESIS. WHEN WE PUT AN EGG IN LIQUID SOAP AND SALT THE EGG FLOATED. WE ALSO PUT AN EGG IN LIQUID SOAP AGAIN WITH SUGAR AND THE EGG FLOATED.
